Town ended their week-long tour of Belfast with a 3-1 victory over Glentoran in Paul Leeman's testimonial at the Oval. Darren Boyle put the home side in front early on, but Alan Lee and Pablo Couñago netted either side of half-time, prior to a late Gary Roberts penalty.

Town started their three-game tour of Belfast with a 7-0 hammering of a very poor Cliftonville side. Gary Roberts opened the scoring, then Alan Lee and Danny Haynes netted before the break with Jaime Peters, Alan Quinn (2) and David Wright completing the scoring.

Town have named former Tottenham, Charlton and Manchester City left-back Ben Thatcher in the side for tonight's game at Cliftonville. The 32-year-old was released by the Addicks at the end of the season and has joined the Blues on trial.

Town's new Dutch signing Pim Balkestein netted his first goal for the Blues as the senior side defeated Brentford 2-0 at Griffin Park. Danny Haynes netted the second, rebounding his penalty after the Bees' keeper had saved.
